Lisa loves animals and had a goal to become a veterinarian. But when she was 18 years old, her brother told her that she would be a great nurse and would be one in ten years. It turned out that he was right. Watching her brother deal with gastrointestinal disease had a big impact on Lisa’s life and prepared her to be the expert and compassionate nurse practitioner that she has become.
